Federal Government approves full reopening of 104 Unity schools

The federal government has announced that unity schools will be reopening fully in two weeks.

The Federal Government has announced October 12th as the day of full reopening for 104 Unity Schools across the country.

The Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, made the announcement at a press conference in Abuja on Thursday, October 2nd.

He also said State Governments and private school owners are at liberty to reopen based on preset safety guidelines.

The Minister appealed to colleges to abide by the COVID-19 protocol guidelines developed to curtail the spread of the virus.

The Minister also threatened to shut down schools found guilty of flouting any of the COVID-19 protocols.

The federal government closed schools across the country in March 2020 to curtail the spread of Coronavirus in the country.

The nationwide protests by Nigerians to end the operations of officers of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad of the Nigerian Police force has not shown any sign of waning even as it nears it's second week.
